Alidad Mireskandari

Chief Executive Officer and President, is a trained Geneticist with over five years of experience at the NIH’s National Cancer Institute, where he co-authored three peer-reviewed papers on the genetics of cancer and oncological viruses. After obtaining his MBA (University of Michigan, 1998), he spent three years as a consultant with Pittoglio, Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM) on product development initiatives for pharmaceutical and medical device clients.


For the past eight years he has served as Portfolio Manager of equity long/short portfolios, focusing on the life science sector for Nomura Securities and BNP Paribas’ proprietary trading operation. He was most recently Portfolio Manager of Raeburn Advisors’ healthcare trading portfolio.

Alidad is a member of the Board of Directors of GeoSim Systems, an Israeli technology company, which develops of proprietary technology for automation of the production process of 3D models as a product derived from satellite and aerial images. This technology will be applied in standard products for the creation of very high resolution 3D models of towns and other locations, and will be accessible via broadband Internet.

Henry “Harv” Rinder MD

Director, Clinical Laboratory as the head of our Clinical Laboratory, Dr. Rinder oversees all CLIA/CAP related activities, quality assurance and supervises other laboratory functions.  Dr. Rinder is actively involved in teaching at the graduate level through the Laboratory Medicine and Hematology teaching programs at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Rinder also teaches residents, fellows, postdoctoral and graduate students and at continuing education courses organized through the Yale Cancer Center, and the Departments of Internal Medicine and Laboratory Medicine.

Seiyu Hosono, Ph.D.

JS Genetics’ VP of R&D, responsible for the development and optimization of our diagnostics products and for overseeing all R&D projects within the Company.  He is the principal investigator for three SBIR Phase I grants and one SBIR Phase II grant from NIH.  He has developed a working prototype of the Turner Syndrome diagnostics kit, which is the prototype DNA collection device for JS Genetics’ core DNA diagnostic business.  He is currently developing and optimizing the technology for the development of the DNA diagnosis of Fragile X Syndrome.

Karl Hager, Ph.D.

Senior scientist and the developer of the Pyro-sequencing assays at the core of the Turner Syndrome Screening Test currently under development at JS Genetics.  His 20 years of extensive experience in molecular biology, DNA sequencing, genotyping and operation of computer-controlled instrumentation is a vital asset to the research program at JS Genetics.
